Vallejo Model Air Soviet/Russian Su-25 and Su-39 Frogfoot, 8-Color Set – 71.603 deserves its own article because its identity is more specific than the surrounding category. The hobby paint sets record from Vallejo is evaluated here through its exact naming, variant data, image evidence and intended project or collection use.

The complete title is meaningful here, not decorative. For this item, the safest match uses the complete title, vendor, SKU, product type and image together. None of those identifiers should be replaced by a broad category assumption. Keep VLJ71603 with the product record because abbreviated names often omit the detail that distinguishes one version from another.
Evidence taken from the live record
The live record provides the following product-specific information: “Vallejo Model Air 71.603 is an eight-color acrylic paint set selected for Soviet and Russian Su-25 and Su-39 Frogfoot camouflage schemes. Range: Model Air Contents: 8 colors, 17 ml each Manufacturer: Vallejo Part number: 71.603 Browse more Vallejo paints and model paints and finishing supplies .” The wording is treated as a source excerpt, not as a substitute for independent fit, scale or condition checks.
Practical use and compatibility
For a diecast or scale collectible, the subject name alone is insufficient. Compare body casting, finish, graphics, wheel design, interior, base markings and packaging format. On Vallejo Model Air Soviet/Russian Su-25 and Su-39 Frogfoot, 8-Color Set – 71.603, the exact photo set and SKU VLJ71603 are the reference pair; a model with the same vehicle name but a different wheel, road number or package is a different release.
Condition language must also match the format. A loose item is judged from the photographed surfaces and axles, while a packaged item adds card, blister, box and seal condition. A finished custom should be assessed for workmanship and disclosed modifications; a build kit should be assessed for included parts and fitment rather than as a completed collectible.
A closer project or collection check
When comparing another example, line up the images in the same order and inspect one feature at a time: front view, side graphics, rear treatment, wheel pattern, roof or hood markings, base text and package. A difference in any of those areas can indicate a variation rather than an error.
For display, choose storage that supports the item without pressing on mirrors, spoilers, blister edges or axles. For a build, dry-fit wheels and moving parts before paint or permanent adhesive. The product format determines which of those checks applies.
What to inspect in the product images
Review all 2 available images in sequence rather than judging the item from the first thumbnail. Front, side, reverse, package and detail views answer different questions. The record is strongest when those views agree with the title and SKU VLJ71603.
Before committing the item to a project
