A Satin-Black Finish Changes This Hot Wheels Shelby GT 500

This 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 500 custom keeps the decoration simple: satin-black paint, bright wheels and a little blue in the glazing. With no stripes or racing numbers across the body, the long hood and fastback roof do most of the work.
The result is a useful change of pace beside brightly decorated Hot Wheels. It still has the broad stance and raised hood details you want from a muscle-car model, but your eye goes to the shape first. If you like a shelf with a few quieter cars between the loud ones, this Shelby deserves a look.

1967 Shelby GT 500 custom
This is one completed Muncle Mikes custom, approximately 1:64 scale, with a satin-black finish and chrome mag-style wheels. The photos show the actual vehicle offered. See its current price and availability on the product page.
The bright wheels keep it from disappearing
An all-black model can lose its shape against a dark background. Here, the chrome-colored wheel faces give the sides a few bright points, while the blue-tinted glass helps separate the cabin from the body. A light-colored shelf or backdrop will make those details easier to see.

From behind, the roof slopes into a short rear deck. Turning the car slightly brings out that fastback line and the length of the hood in the same view. Leave enough space around it to see the silhouette; a dark car parked close beside it can hide the shape that makes this custom appealing.
Look at the hood and glass together
The raised hood detail gives the front some height, and the plain black finish makes its contours easier to follow. The opposite side view also shows the bright wheels against the deep wheel openings. Those are the details to compare if you are choosing between this Shelby and a more heavily decorated muscle car.

In the front three-quarter photograph, fine marks are visible on the windshield. These are small original photographs, so they are better for judging the overall look than for grading every edge of the finish. If a particular area matters to you, ask about it before buying the car.

A quiet Shelby or a bright red Camaro?
The red and black Custom ’68 Camaro gives you another muscle-car shape with a much stronger color contrast. Its white number 68 graphics are easy to spot across a shelf. Choose the Shelby for the plain body and bright wheels, or the Camaro when you want the graphics to be part of the attraction.
