Custom Matchbox Hot Rods: Speed Shop Ford Coupe or 1935 Ford Pickup?

Choose between a coupe and a pickup before deciding that all Matchbox hot rods serve the same display purpose. MM's '33 Ford Coupe retains Matchbox Speed Shop #166 graphics and has smooth rubber slicks. The satin-green 1935 Ford pickup has Construction Co. No.7 graphics, gold four-spoke wheels and a staggered slick-style rubber setup. Both are finished custom offers.
The coupe's Speed Shop identity

The coupe listing explicitly describes retained body graphics and fitted smooth rubber slicks. It is supplied as a loose finished vehicle at a listed 1:64 scale. Use the product gallery to inspect the body, number and tires; the description here does not establish a specific wheel diameter or a date when this Matchbox release was sold.
The '33 label refers to the vehicle subject. The #166 decoration is part of the named graphic theme, not evidence of a limited-edition production quantity. Do not infer rarity, speed or track capability from the race-style appearance.
The pickup's different visual emphasis

The pickup offer describes a dark satin-green finish with distressed-looking yellow Construction Co. No.7 graphics. Its gold four-spoke wheels and wider rear slick-style rubber tires are part of the finished build. The exposed engine, exhaust details and open bed create a different profile from the coupe.
Check the gallery to distinguish the described graphics and finish from any individual wear. An intentionally distressed graphic does not mean that every visible mark is part of that decoration. Read the current condition notes for the exact vehicle.
Do not transfer fit assumptions
| Decision | Coupe | Pickup |
|---|---|---|
| Graphic theme | Speed Shop #166 | Construction Co. No.7 |
| Listed tire detail | Smooth rubber slicks | Staggered slick-style rubber; wider rear |
| Body role | Coupe | Pickup with open bed |
| Purchase format | Finished loose custom | Finished loose custom |
A wheel setup that suits one of these bodies does not automatically fit the other. If you want a project, the 1935 Ford DIY build plan covers the separate prepared kit offer. That kit is not a promise that all the pickup custom's installed parts are included.
For another completed pickup option, compare blue chrome and green gold Ford customs. Choose the finished vehicle whose body, graphics and wheel arrangement you prefer, and confirm the present offer before ordering.
