2009 Cadillac CTS-V Collector Guide
The CTS-V keeps its sharp-edged sedan body through a surprisingly varied run. Early cars rely on paint and small trim details; the orange releases add angular side graphics, and later versions bring stripes, colored wheel rims and themed packaging.

A sedan with some close lookalikes
The casting joined 2010 New Models in black, maroon and silver. The black and maroon cars also turn up with different wheels: lace wheels on black and PR5 on burgundy. Holiday Hot Rods followed in white, then the orange Faster Than Ever and multipack cars added another wheel comparison. The twelve photographed editions here run through 2022.

Choosing one for your collection
Start with the side decoration. Plain maroon with bright ten-spoke wheels belongs to the early group; black stripes and yellow-rimmed PR5 wheels point to the later Asphalt Assault version. For the orange pair, compare FTE2 and Y5 wheel faces before checking the finer details.
Most photos show loose cars; the two early wheel variations are shown on their New Models cards. Three older 2010 records still lack enough identifying detail to match them to a particular version.

Does the 2009 in the casting name date every release?
No. It describes the full-size CTS-V represented by the casting. The release year and assortment identify the Hot Wheels edition; this pictured group spans 2010 through 2022.
