’18 Camaro SS: Casting Info & Complete Collector’s Guide

What is the Hot Wheels ’18 Camaro SS?

This 1:64 casting represents a sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS. Collector catalogs credit the design to Brendon Vetuskey. Its 2018 introduction coincided with Hot Wheels’ 50th anniversary and the Camaro 50th Anniversary releases.

One casting can represent many distinct releases. Match the year and code with the series, paint, graphics, wheels, and package. FJV49 and FPR27 are both orange, but the latter is associated with the Auto Show exclusive. K50 refers to a base-date mark on the owner-gift Camaro, not an individual toy number.

Physical details across the casting

The shared identity is the sixth-generation Camaro SS body. Differences between releases are concentrated in paint and decoration, followed by wheel style, window tint, interior color, and base material. The family includes standard plastic-wheel releases as well as ID wheels and Real Riders.

Do not assign one release’s measurements or materials to every car. For example, FXB16 is listed with a clear plastic base, while HLP64 has a glossy black metal base. Use the exact-release links to compare the details of each version.

Packaging and release context

Card art and assortment information are part of identification. Compare the printed toy code, series position, blister, and car together. K50 is documented as part of a fitted two-car owner-gift set; HLP64 belongs to the NFT Garage physical-redemption program rather than a conventional mainline card.

For loose examples, record visible wear and any replacement parts separately from the casting identity. A package often resolves close matches that are difficult to distinguish by color alone.
