1970 Pontiac Firebird Collector Guide
With the hood out of the way, the engine is part of this Firebird’s silhouette. The early white and red cars keep the body fairly clean. Number 70 graphics arrive on the blue, orange and violet Modified releases, followed by a different number 68 scheme on the Team Wheels and Red Edition cars.

What to look for
The two white releases need the closest look. HCT05 is the 2022 debut with five-spoke wheels; HRX55 comes from the Legends Tour multipack and has gold S5 wheels. Keep the orange Kroger car separate from the other 2023 colors too: its white wheels and gray base are useful identifying details.

Choosing one for your collection
Check the exposed engine and the front corners from a low angle. A straight overhead photograph can hide a bent axle or a wheel sitting too far inside the body.
On numbered cars, look for complete roof and door printing. The thin lines beside the numbers are easier to rub away than the larger blocks of color.

Are the two white Firebirds the same release?
No. HCT05 is the 2022 Dream Garage car with five-spoke wheels. The white HRX55 multipack car has gold S5 wheels and a separate 2024 release identity.
