1986 Toyota Van Collector Guide
The Toyota Van looks simple until you line the colors up. The first dark-red car has a gray lower section, the later burgundy one carries a different stripe combination, and the Red Edition is black rather than red. Compare the whole side of the van, not just the roof color.

What to look for

Choosing one for your collection
Long side panels make scratches and breaks in the striping worth a close look. Ask for both sides, then inspect the front corners and the large window area.
The two dark-red editions can look similar in a small listing image. The lower-body color, stripe arrangement and original card help separate them.
Collector questions
Is the Red Edition van painted red?
No. The HKL56 Red Edition shown here has a black body with red-and-white decoration and red wheel accents.
