1994 NSX Collector Guide
These NSXs reward a closer look after the room lights go down. The red Ryu’s Rides edition wears Suzuka pace-car graphics; the blue release swaps that theme for a cleaner finish and dark upper panels. Working lights make condition checks more involved than simply inspecting the paint.

What to look for
The 2023 HGK81 honors Ryu Asada’s NSX, with circuit decoration and a cylindrical display case. The 2026 JJY73 has Spectraflame Otto Blue paint and a revised appearance. Both belong to the light-equipped RLC casting family.

Choosing one for your collection
Ask for a short demonstration of the lighting functions before buying a used example. A static photograph of illuminated lamps proves less than seeing them switch on and off.
Check the display case for cracks, then inspect the rear wing, mirrors and wheel faces. Keep the correct charging accessories and instructions with the car; completeness matters on an electronic display model.

Is the blue NSX just the red pace car in another color?
The family is shared, but the decoration, wheels and presentation differ. Compare each release’s own photos and features rather than assuming every light effect is identical.
