1935 Classic CaddyFenders, wheels and the 1995 Treasure Hunt
Classic Caddy is the enclosed prewar-style car shown here, with separate-looking fenders and a tall cabin. It is not the finned 1959 convertible. The green 1995 Treasure Hunt needs that distinction before any discussion of wheels or value.
Treasure Hunt number 9
The 1995 release is collector #361, item 13357, and number 9 of twelve in the Treasure Hunt series. Its catalog entry specifies metallic-green paint, a tan interior, an unpainted Malaysia base, gold six-spoke Pro Circuit wheels and a red Hot Wheels logo on the side fender.
The photograph confirms the green car and Treasure Hunt card. It is too small to authenticate every printed mark or the base of an individual example.
A different Cadillac shape
Look at the upright grille, enclosed roof and long fenders. Those details separate the Classic Caddy from the 1959 Caddy convertible. The names should not be used interchangeably.
Check the fender edges and roof corners for worn paint. Ask for a close view of each wheel face and the base before recording the exact configuration.
Condition still comes first
Inspect the blister attachment and card surface as well as the car. A series label does not establish a current selling price, and an old price-guide figure is not a present-day appraisal.
Record repainting, wheel changes and package damage plainly. The loose-car checklist covers the same originality questions when the card is missing.
Silver body, pink fenders
The pink fenders are the first thing to check on this silver car. The light cabin and whitewall rings help complete the match. Blister glare crosses the body in this photograph; the underside is not visible.
Blue number 44: start with the wheels
Whitewall rings, five open spokes and the later three-blade pattern distinguish these otherwise similar blue cars. Compare the wheel faces before assigning a year.
The blue whitewall combination predates the later wheels. The Newsletter records it in 1986 and also notes number-44 packaging. Blue paint alone therefore cannot date a loose example to 1990. Keep readable package evidence with the car whenever it survives.
Gold California Customs: two fender colors
The Newsletter records dark-blue and gold fenders on the 1990 gold-chrome California Custom. Both have a red interior, whitewalls and Studio Limo lettering. South Texas Diecast groups them under item 3371. Blue fenders alone do not establish a separate 1991 release.
Check the roof script and side lettering, then inspect the reflective finish in soft light. Strong flash can hide scratches and worn edges. These versions are described here without a reference photo because the linked catalog image could not be retrieved.
