1963 Chevy Nova AWB Collector Guide
The wheels give this Nova away before the paint does. Its altered-wheelbase stance, narrow front tires and exposed engine belong to a drag car, not an ordinary street coupe. The Wilshire Shaker, II Far Gone and later racing liveries each put a different name on that unmistakable shape.

What to look for
This guide follows the five pictured releases of the premium Nova AWB. The 2009 and 2010 cars use the older Dragstrip Demons packaging, the red 2018 car brings the name into Car Culture, and the purple Boulevard and VP Racing releases follow later. Keep it separate from the other Chevy II and Nova castings in the catalog.

Choosing one for your collection
Look at the engine detail and both axles. The narrow front tires should sit evenly, and the larger rear tires should not be pushed sideways against the body.
The 2024 VP Racing Nova was packaged with a Silverado and trailer. For an opened set, check the trailer as carefully as the two vehicles.
