Hot Wheels ’67 Camaro (2022): Casting Info & Complete Collector’s Guide

The GWJ14 tooling, from its gold debut to HW Dream Garage

This guide covers the separate ’67 Camaro tooling introduced in 2022, identified in collector references as GWJ14. Its hood scoop, side pipes and rear spoiler distinguish it from the earlier Hot Wheels ’67 Camaro casting, whose first releases had an opening hood. The 2022 tooling represents the Camaro built for the Hot Wheels “The Drive” commercial and later featured in the Garage of Legends.

Four releases anchor this family: the 2022 FAO Schwarz gold multipack debut, the 2024 HW Art Cars blueprint version and two 2026 HW Dream Garage colors.

Casting Info: the GWJ14 ’67 Camaro

Tooling details that separate this Camaro from the original casting.

Casting Info: the GWJ14 ’67 Camaro

GWJ14 identifies the ’67 Camaro tooling introduced in 2022. It represents a 1967 Camaro with a raised hood scoop, side pipes and rear spoiler. Collector references credit Phil Riehlman with the design and connect the casting to the car built for the 2017 Hot Wheels “The Drive” commercial.

This is a different casting from Hot Wheels’ older ’67 Camaro, which dates to 1983 and has a different body. Early versions of that original casting used an opening hood. Both castings share the ’67 Camaro name, but the GWJ14 and 1983 bodies belong to distinct tooling families.

The debut car appeared in the FAO Schwarz Gold Multipack. HNB86 is the multipack code; GWJ14 identifies the tooling. Later Mainline cards use individual codes such as HTB74, JJJ26 and JJM46.

The four documented GWJ14 releases

The toy code and decoration identify the release. The two 2026 Dream Garage colors share 056/250 and 3/5, so those numbers alone cannot distinguish JJJ26 from JJM46.

Physical Details

Materials and trim that can be checked on the loose car.

Physical Details

The GWJ14 has a metal body and plastic base. Across the family, the fixed hood scoop, side pipes and rear spoiler remain visible. Paint, graphics, window tint, interior finish, base color and wheels change by release.

  • HNB86 pairs metalflake gold with clear windows and gold chrome five-spoke wheels.
  • HTB74 uses dark-blue paint, blueprint line art and blue-tinted windows.
  • JJJ26 and JJM46 share a series position but differ in body color, base and wheels.
Packaging Details

How the multipack or card identifies this release.

Packaging Details

HNB86 identifies the eight-car FAO Schwarz Gold Multipack, not an individual Camaro toy number. The later releases HTB74, JJJ26 and JJM46 were issued on numbered Mainline cards with their own toy codes and series marks.

Casting History

The 2022 tooling’s place in the Camaro family.

Casting History

Collector references list the GWJ14 tooling from 2022 onward. It begins with the FAO Schwarz gold set, moves to the 2024 blueprint treatment, then returns to HW Dream Garage in 2026 with gold and blue colors. These four releases form the variation web on this page.

Earlier Hot Wheels ’67 Camaro releases belong to the separate 1983 casting family.

Value Research: compare the exact release

Value Research: compare the exact release

There is no single value for every ’67 Camaro (2022). Start with the toy code, color and wheel set, then compare loose with loose or packaged with packaged. For JJJ26 and JJM46, the matching 056/250 and 3/5 markings make the code and body color especially important. HNB86 identifies an eight-car set, not a Camaro sold alone.

Recent completed sales are useful when the release, condition and package contents match.
