1969 Dodge Charger Funny Car Collector Guide
The Charger Funny Car keeps the broad Charger outline but stretches it into a low drag-racing shape. Large rear slicks and much smaller front wheels are the first clues. Hawaiian lettering, Shakey Situation graphics and numbered Collector Editions give the six pictured releases their individual identities.

What to look for
The two 2009 Hawaiian cars share toy number N8971 and essentially the same livery. Their front wheels are the useful distinction: one has miniature five-spoke Real Riders, while the other has a denser nine-spoke pattern. Keep that detail in the record rather than merging them into one blue-and-white entry.

Choosing one for your collection
Inspect the nose, roof edges and rear corners, then compare the front wheels closely. A side photograph that hides the front wheel face misses the key detail on the Hawaiian pair.
The gold and ZAMAC Collector Editions are separate numbered mail-in releases. The pink Nationals car also has its own event presentation; a loose-car color match is not a substitute for packaging evidence.

Why are there two N8971 guides?
They cover the documented five-spoke and nine-spoke front-wheel combinations. The shared toy number does not distinguish those variations.
