1971 Plymouth Road Runner Collector Guide
The long hood and tucked-in cabin give this Road Runner plenty of room for decoration. The magenta debut uses black stripes, the yellow Heat Fleet car runs flames along the sides, and the green Accel version takes a different route again. Color alone misses half the fun of comparing them.

What to look for
These six release guides follow the existing MM catalog from the 2012 debut to the 2023 Ultra Hots car. Compare the actual toy in each photograph: the two yellow-looking cars have very different graphics, finishes and wheels.

Choosing one for your collection
Look along the hood edges and the tops of the rear quarters. Those raised surfaces are easy to scuff when loose cars share a box.
A clear side photo is especially useful here. It shows the graphics, both wheels and the stance together, without the card artwork distracting from the actual model.
Collector questions
Are the two yellow cars the same release?
No. GDG58 is the Mopar car with black stripes. HLH95 is the reflective antifreeze Ultra Hots release, with its own decoration and wheel combination.
