Ferrari F355Identifying the 1995 edition
The yellow F355 arrived in the 1995 Model Series with a clean body and several documented wheel versions. The five-hole wheels on this carded example are the first detail to record; yellow paint alone cannot settle the variation.
Model Series number 10 of twelve
Larry Wood’s F355 casting debuted in the 1995 Model Series. Collector #350, item 13338, has a yellow body and black interior. The pictured five-hole-wheel version is listed with an unpainted Malaysia base and a red Hot Wheels logo at the rear license plate.
The underside and rear marking are not visible here. Ask for those views when identifying a loose car.
More than one yellow version
The release record also includes three-spoke, five-spoke and seven-spoke wheels, among other combinations. Some five- and seven-spoke entries have metallic-silver bases. Record wheels and base finish together.
Some yellow cars were also included in 1995 Ferrari five-packs. A loose example cannot establish which package it came from just by matching its color.
Inspect the low corners
Check the nose, side sills and rear corners for chips. Look through the glazing for cracks or glue and inspect the fasteners underneath if wheels appear to have been changed.
Keep a photograph of both sides and the rear with the condition notes. The loose-car checklist helps separate repairs from factory variation without assigning unsupported rarity.
