Purple PassionIdentifying the 1995 releases
Pearl Passion and Steel Passion use the same long, low Purple Passion body, but their finishes and interiors tell two different stories. The pearl-purple car keeps its sides quiet; the dark Steel Stamp version adds bright panels and pinstriping.
Pearl Passion: the purple Pearl Driver
Pearl Passion is collector #292, item 13279, and number 2 of four in the 1995 Pearl Driver series. The catalog lists pearl-purple paint, a green side logo, bright lime-green interior, tinted windows and a chrome Malaysia base.
The photograph shows whitewall tires. Seven-spoke versions are also documented. The dark windows hide much of the cabin, so request a separate interior view before assigning its color to a loose example.
Steel Passion: the dark Steel Stamp car
Steel Passion is collector #285, item 13272, and number 1 of four in the Steel Stamp series. Its metallic-black body carries dark-pink, gold and silver decoration, with a gold side logo, red interior and chrome Malaysia base. Whitewall and seven-spoke versions are listed.
The pictured whitewall car makes the different side treatment clear. The series name does not establish special base construction or a limited production run.
The long body deserves an overhead view
Check the roof, low front edge and rear fender skirts for chips. The rear wheels are partly concealed, so inspect their condition from behind and underneath as well as from the side.
Compare both sides for rubbing through the thin decoration. Keep repairs, wheel swaps and repainting in the condition record. The loose-car checklist helps separate those observations from the release name.
