Ramp TruckThe 1995 series release
The Racing Metals Ramp Truck has a reflective cab and a long sloping deck. Its bright finish changes dramatically with the light, so a single photograph is a poor way to separate the documented pink-, purple- and blue-chrome versions.
Number 2 of four
Collector #337, item 13324, is number 2 in the 1995 Racing Metals series. Pink-, purple- and blue-chrome entries are documented with seven-spoke wheels and unpainted Malaysia bases. The release carries Hot Wheels logos on the top and sides and lettering on the windshield.
The pictured package identifies the series. Its mixed reflections are not enough to certify a precise chrome shade for another truck.
Look underneath the ramp
Ask for an overhead view and a rear view of the sloping deck. Check its edges, attachment points and underside for cracks, missing pieces or glue. Avoid forcing a part that feels stiff.
Inspect all three axles and look for a tilted stance. The long reflective body can draw attention away from a bent axle or tire rubbing against the chassis.
A useful comparison needs consistent light
Photograph suspected color variations under the same neutral light, with similar exposure and background. A blue reflection from packaging can change how a chrome surface looks.
