What the Value Engine measures
The Muncle Mikes Value Engine estimates a current collector-market range for an exact release. It is not a formal appraisal, guaranteed selling price, dealer offer, replacement-cost opinion, or promise of future performance.
Required release match
Completed sales are matched by manufacturer, casting, release year, series, part number, color, wheels, tampo, base, interior, windows, packaging, exclusivity, condition, and special-edition traits whenever evidence permits.
Evidence hierarchy
- Verified completed sales for the exact release.
- Completed sales with minor disclosed uncertainty.
- Active listings used only as context.
- Catalog and guide records used for identification, not as substitutes for completed sales.
Low, typical, and high
Low and high define a supportable evidence range after obvious anomalies are removed. Typical is the robust center of the comparable sales. A highest asking price is not used as the high estimate.
Separate measurements
Record completeness, evidence confidence, rarity, collector demand, and market value are separate. A complete record can have no verified price, and a scarce item is not automatically valuable.
Blank is better than invented. When exact-release evidence is insufficient, value, confidence, trend, return, and forecast remain pending.
