2011 Hot Wheels Police Pursuit T8630 Camaro: Casting Info & Complete Collector’s Guide

The black Police Pursuit Camaro with gold PR5 wheels

This catalog entry describes the same black ’10 Camaro SS included in the 2011 Police Pursuit 5-Pack T8630. The pack code identifies all five cars, and the available details do not establish a second Camaro paint or wheel variation. Use the markings, blue windows and gold PR5 wheels below to identify the casting.

The black body, blue windows and gold PR5 wheels identify this Police Pursuit Camaro. The five-pack card documents the packaging for the same release.

Casting Info: the 2011 Police Pursuit Camaro

Mattel identifies T8630 as the 2011 Hot Wheels 5-Pk Police Pursuit assortment. This page is a second catalog record for the same black ’10 Camaro SS; its contents do not establish a different Camaro variation. The code belongs to the complete five-car pack.

The Camaro is identified by silver stripes edged in gold, red accents, Police and Protect & Serve markings, blue-tinted windows and gold PR5 wheels. Compare those details with the primary 2011 T8630 Camaro guide before treating a listing as a separate release.

Variation Summary

Black paint and gold PR5 wheels identify the 2011 pack car.

Variation Summary

Release Pack and visible markings Windows and wheels
2011 · black Camaro Police Pursuit 5-Pack T8630; silver-and-gold stripes, red accents, Police and Protect & Serve Blue tint; gold PR5
2015 · silver Camaro Police Pursuit 5-Pack CDT16; blue-and-orange Highway Patrol stripes and 68 Police shield Red tint; red-chrome OH5

The shared Police Pursuit theme can make these cars easy to confuse in a broad checklist. Start with the body color and side markings, then check the window tint and wheels. The 2011 T8630 Camaro is black with blue windows and gold PR5 wheels; the 2015 CDT16 Camaro is silver with red windows and red-chrome OH5 wheels.

Physical Details

Silver-and-gold striping, red accents and gold PR5 wheels.

Physical Details

The body is black, with silver stripes outlined in gold and additional red striping. Police and Protect & Serve markings carry the law-enforcement theme along the sides. The windows are blue-tinted, the interior is silver, and the wheels are PR5 five-spokes with gold finish.

Inspect the door graphics and stripe edges for rubs, then check the roof, bumpers and wheel faces for paint loss. Compare both sides and all four wheels: a matching casting shape alone does not confirm the release. The dark gray plastic base and Thailand origin support the identification when the underside can be checked.

Packaging Details

T8630 names the complete Police Pursuit five-car pack.

Packaging Details

Mattel catalogs T8630 as the 2011 Hot Wheels 5-Pk Police Pursuit assortment. The pack contains Poison Arrow, Zotic, Scorchin’ Scooter, Rivited and the ’10 Camaro SS. That five-car context is useful when identifying a sealed set and when recording a loose Camaro from the assortment.

For a complete pack, confirm all five vehicles and inspect the window box for tears, crushed corners or missing contents. A loose car can be matched by its black police livery and gold PR5 wheels, but it cannot by itself prove that it came from an intact T8630 pack.

Casting History

From the 2009 casting debut to the 2011 pack

The ’10 Camaro SS entered the Hot Wheels line in 2009 as a fifth-generation Camaro casting. Its later appearances moved through mainline assortments, themed series and multipacks. For collectors, the year and shared casting name are only the starting point; each release needs its own color, markings, wheels and packaging context.

The T8630 version appeared in the Police Pursuit 5-Pack in 2011. Its black body, gold-edged silver stripes, red accents, blue windows and gold PR5 wheels give it a clear place in the family. The year-grouped variation web below connects this police version with the other cataloged releases.

Condition & Collector Research

Check the car and pack as separate collectibles

On a loose Camaro, look for the black body, silver stripes outlined in gold, red accents, Police and Protect & Serve markings, blue-tinted windows and gold PR5 wheels. Check for chips along the roof and door edges, worn tampo and bent or missing axles.

For a sealed T8630 set, verify the Police Pursuit pack and the five expected vehicles, then inspect the box and clear window for crushing, splits or yellowing. Loose-car condition and complete-pack condition are different comparisons; the shared pack number should not be mistaken for a Camaro-only release code.
