Collector reference for the Mattel '68 Dodge Dart casting and its documented releases.
Larry Wood designed this casting for the 2004 Auto Affinity: Motor City Muscle range. Packaging originally called it Dodge Dart; 2005 Classics cards used 1970 Dodge Dart, then 1968 Dodge Dart and '68 Dodge Dart names appeared in 2006. These are names for this tooling, not four separate casting debuts. Collector references relate its shape to engineer Tom Sneddon's Dart. The vehicle model year is distinct from each toy release year.
