MUNCLE MIKES COLLECTOR GUIDE

1971 Plymouth Road Runner — 2013 X1790

Yellow paint becomes the backdrop for red, orange and blue flames on X1790. The flames stretch along the sides, and red accents around the dark wheels tie the whole combination together.

What to look for

This is the 2013 HW Showroom Heat Fleet entry numbered 215/250. It is not the later yellow Mopar car: that version uses black stripes and Mopar lettering instead of flames.

Choosing one for your collection

Follow the flame tips across the doors and rear quarters. A worn print can be harder to spot than a chip in the yellow paint.

On a carded example, look past reflections in the blister to check the wheel accents. Card artwork is a useful clue, but the toy itself is the reference.

Collector questions

How does it differ from the yellow Mopar release?

X1790 has multicolored flames and red-accented wheels; GDG58 has black Mopar graphics.
