MM Classified Market Condition Standards

Collector identity and the physical condition of a seller’s copy are separate. Sellers must describe both accurately.

Carded or boxed items

  • Vehicle/item: paint, graphics, windows, wheels, axles, base, missing parts, defects, repairs, and modifications.
  • Card or box: bends, creases, tears, edge wear, stains, writing, fading, punctures, water damage, and repairs.
  • Blister/window: clarity, yellowing, cracks, crushing, dents, separation, resealing, and replacement.

Loose and modified items

Describe wear, chips, scratches, residue, odors, moving parts, missing pieces, repairs, customs, wheel swaps, repaints, reproduction parts, recards, and restorations. A modified copy must not be presented as untouched.

Photos and grades

Use enough actual-item photos to show the complete item and material defects. “Mint,” “near mint,” and similar grades do not override visible damage or omitted facts.
