MEGA Hot Wheels Aston Martin Vulcan HMY97: Set Info & Collector’s Guide
HMY97 is a 2023 MEGA building set, not a standalone 1:64 Vulcan release. The 986-piece set builds a large 1:18 Aston Martin Vulcan and includes a separate 1:64 Hot Wheels replica.
What is MEGA HMY97?
HMY97 identifies Mattel’s 2023 MEGA Hot Wheels Aston Martin Vulcan Vehicle Building Kit. It contains 986 pieces and assembles into a large 1:18-scale display model. Mattel describes it as an adult-builder set with a detailed interior, opening doors and hood, and an adjustable steering wheel.
The set also contains a 1:64-scale Hot Wheels replica. Mattel’s public set description does not identify the companion car with an individual release code, so this page records it as an included model without assigning it to one of the standalone Vulcan variations.

How the included 1:64 car fits the Vulcan guide
The HMY97 companion is packaged with a much larger building set. It is not counted among the ten individually cataloged 1:64 Vulcan releases in the casting guide. The included car’s individual code and exact decoration are not established by the set description.

Set condition checks
For a boxed set, inspect the carton for crushed edges, tears, water damage, or broken seals. For a built example, check piece completeness, door and hood movement, steering adjustment, rolling wheels, and whether the 1:64 companion car and instruction booklet are present.
