This 1:144 JC Wings model represents Fairchild Republic A-10A Thunderbolt II serial 77-0205, known as Chopper Popper, during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. The aircraft was assigned to the Air Force Reserve’s 706th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 926th Tactical Fighter Group, and was flown by Capt. Robert Swain Jr. when he scored the A-10’s first air-to-air victory.
Many retail feeds combine the 706th squadron with the 23rd TFW. Official Air Force Reserve history identifies Swain and the 706th TFS with the 926th TFG, so Muncle Mikes uses the corrected unit identity. Use serial 77-0205, Chopper Popper markings, item JCW-144-A10-001 and all five exact images to confirm the release.
Read the JC Wings A-10A Chopper Popper collector guide for the unit correction, aircraft history, canopy and ordnance care, stand use, dimensions and arrival checks.
