Planning a shuttle installation
The purpose of the ABC modules is to create controlled stopping behavior on sections of a suitably wired DCC layout. A shuttle can be useful for a branch-line terminus, demonstration track or station-to-station scene. The decoder goes in a locomotive whose motor and function requirements fall within its published electrical limits; the ABC modules are part of the track-side control arrangement.
Before ordering, identify your locomotive's actual decoder socket, available installation space and motor current. The presence of an 8-pin harness and 21MTC interface does not mean every locomotive supports both without installation work. Verify rail connections and the required ABC section arrangement against DCCconcepts' wiring instructions before applying power.

No. It is the identified shuttle-electronics pack. The locomotive, DCC control system and rails must be supplied separately.
Can I use it in any analog DC train?
Do not assume so. This is a DCC decoder-based package; check the locomotive and command system compatibility first.
Can it power a high-current motor?
Do not exceed the published 0.75 A continuous and 1.1 A peak decoder ratings. Measure or confirm motor load before installation.
