The ESU 59828 LokPilot 5 micro DCC is a compact locomotive motor decoder with a Next18 connector for a model equipped with a matching socket. ESU lists part 59828 for N and TT scale. Next18 is different from the 6-pin direct version (59827), so check your locomotive’s board and available installation space before choosing a decoder.
This DCC-only LokPilot 5 micro model supports 14–128 speed steps, 2- and 4-digit addresses, up to 32 DCC functions, and RailComPlus registration when the command station supports it. ESU specifies a motor output of up to 0.75 A and an adjustable 10–50 kHz motor PWM frequency. For the Next18 configuration, ESU documents six amplified function outputs and two logic-level outputs; output loading and wiring must match the manufacturer instructions.
