Kadee 1799 provides large-offset No. 1-scale couplers for the specified LGB 2-6-2 tank and GE2/4 slant-rod passenger locomotives. The kit includes fixed truck-mount gearboxes and the clips and shims needed for this conversion.

Features and package contents

  • Two couplers, two fixed draft gearboxes and two lids.
  • Two No. 2 x 3/8-inch screws, two No. 4 x 3/8-inch screws, five No. 861 centering springs and one No. 1875 knuckle spring.
  • Includes four axle clips and ten 0.015-inch washer shims.
  • Original-style No. 1 head, corresponding to a 1:32 scale ratio.

Compatibility and installation

Assembly and fitting are required. Check the exact locomotive production version against the conversion instructions; this is not a universal LGB locomotive coupler. Verify coupler height, free centering and clearance after assembly. The vehicle, track and tools are not included.
