Replace a compatible original-style No. 1 centerset coupler or adapt an existing Kadee G-scale gearbox with the 1840 coupler-only pack. These are the older-style smaller heads, not the later Type E No. 1901 couplers.

Compatibility and installation
Use only with the compatible Kadee gearbox and mounting arrangement for the conversion. Confirm shank geometry, coupler height and free centering on the actual model. Installation is required; retain suitable existing gearbox components or obtain them separately. Rolling stock and tools are not included.
