Kadee 3 saves fine assembly work by supplying No. 148 Whisker couplers already fitted into No. 242 insulated plastic gearboxes. The HO medium-centerset arrangement is ready for mounting on a compatible model.

Features and package contents

• Two pairs: four assembled metal No. 148 couplers in No. 242 gearboxes.
• Standard-size head, integral Whisker centering springs and medium centerset shank.
• Each gearbox measures 7/16 inch long, 5/16 inch wide and 1/8 inch high.
• Includes two spare No. 622 knuckle springs.

Compatibility and installation

Confirm the mounting arrangement, height and clearance for the exact model. Fit with suitable 2-56 insulated screws of the required length, not included, and check smooth movement. Retain electrical isolation between the metal coupler and conductive surfaces. Cars and height gauge are not included.
