Convert a suitable Bachmann Plus F7 A or B locomotive to Kadee coupling with the 452 kit. Dedicated mounting brackets and special gearboxes accommodate the short, overset-shank couplers required by this installation.

Features and package contents

  • One pair of couplers for one locomotive.
  • Includes conversion brackets, special gearboxes and illustrated instructions.
  • No. 35 Magne-Matic couplers with short 1/4-inch overset plastic shanks.
  • Mounting options represent approximately five-foot or closer three-foot prototype spacing between units.

Compatibility and installation

Assembly and model alterations are required. The wider-spacing option needs fewer changes; the closer-spacing option requires additional truck alteration. Follow the 452 instructions and confirm that the locomotive is the Bachmann Plus F7 version. Check height, clearance and operation through curves. Locomotive, tools and adhesives are not included.
