The Kadee 508 conversion kit fits suitable AHM/Rivarossi four-wheel passenger-car trucks. Its longer bolster arrangement positions the supplied No. 5 coupler for compatible truck-mounted passenger-car conversions.

Features and package contents

  • One pair of conversion bolsters.
  • Includes one pair of No. 5 couplers, draft gearboxes, No. 634 centering springs, screws and instructions.
  • Longer bolster configuration; not the short No. 505 arrangement.

Compatibility and installation

Assembly and fitting are required. Confirm the exact truck and car against the conversion instructions; wheel count alone does not determine fit. The 72-foot Con-Cor exception uses No. 505, and some six-wheel trucks have had their center axles removed. Use suitable nonmagnetic trucks and wheels; Kadee specifies No. 521 or 522 replacement wheels where appropriate. Check clearance, coupler height and operation through your curves. Cars, complete trucks and wheelsets are not included.
