• HISTORY ASPECTS:
The M1046 HUMVEE Tow Missile Carrier played a crucial role during the Iraq War in the spring of 2003. Operated by E Troop, 9th Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), these vehicles were at the forefront of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The conflict aimed to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein and eliminate perceived weapons of mass destruction. The M1046 HUMVEE, equipped with TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) missiles, proved to be an essential asset for U.S. forces during this military campaign.
In the challenging and varied terrains of Iraq, the M1046 HUMVEE showcased its versatility, providing not only mobility for troops but also effective anti-tank capabilities. E Troop utilized these vehicles to navigate through urban environments and engage enemy targets with precision-guided TOW missiles. The success of the 3rd Infantry Division's mission in Iraq was, in part, due to the adaptability and firepower provided by vehicles like the M1046 HUMVEE.
This 1:64 scale model model captures the details of this iconic vehicle, including its TOW missile launchers and military markings. A must-have for military history enthusiasts, this replica allows collectors to own a piece of history and commemorate the role played by the M1046 HUMVEE in the Iraq War.
