SoundTraxx 852004 MC2H104P9 provides a universal wired format for converting suitable HO locomotives to decoder control. Its attached nine-pin JST harness is useful in installations without a convenient factory eight-pin socket, including appropriate older or brass models.

  • Maximum motor stall current: 1 amp.
  • Four lighting-function outputs with Hyperlight effects.
  • Load-compensated motor control.
  • DCC operation and configurable analog DC operation.
  • Includes one non-sound decoder with universal wire harness.

Compatibility and installation

Hardwiring and electrical installation are required. Check motor isolation, stall current, available clearance and lighting requirements before connecting the decoder. Follow the MC2 instructions for wiring and analog-mode configuration. An eight-pin plug, locomotive, solder, insulation and tools are not included. This decoder does not generate sound.
