SoundTraxx 882006 brings the Econami diesel sound profile to locomotives equipped with a compatible NEM-supported 21-pin socket. The compact decoder controls the motor and six function outputs while providing a 2-watt speaker amplifier.

Features and specifications

  • Diesel sound profile; part 882006.
  • Board dimensions: approximately 30.5 × 15.5 × 6.6 mm.
  • Maximum motor stall current: 1 amp.
  • Six function outputs, rated up to 100 mA each.
  • Audio amplifier: 2 watts with an 8-ohm speaker load.
  • DCC track-voltage range: 7–22 volts; 12 sound channels.
  • Provision for wiring an optional 810140 or 810160 CurrentKeeper.
  • Includes one ECO-21PNEM diesel digital sound decoder.

Compatibility and installation

Check the locomotive’s socket specification, available clearance and motor current before installation. Follow the Econami installation instructions for decoder orientation, speaker wiring and output connections. A CurrentKeeper requires the appropriate wiring; it is not included. Speaker, locomotive, DCC system and installation tools are also not included.
