Compare the two Real Riders colors
The Blown Camaro catalog lists 1990 California Custom item 1289 in white or dark red with gray Real Riders. A white Turbo Wheels entry is separate; the later ’80s Camaro retool removed the original exposed blower and sunroof.
Inspect the exposed engine and roof
Ask for a clear overhead image and front-quarter views of the blower. Look for broken projections, damage around the roof opening and repair adhesive. Do not assume a similar car missing those details is an unusual variation without checking the tooling history.
Compare both sides and the underside. Ask whether body, base or engine components have been transferred from another example. A visually complete car can still contain replacement parts.
Check tire condition without removing the tires
Request close views of every wheel face and the tire edges. Inspect for cracking, flattening and uneven seating. Ask whether the axles or tires were replaced and whether the body has been opened.
Gray wheel components can change appearance in a photograph under warm or cool lighting. Establish what is actually present before assigning a wheel-color variation or premium.
A different Camaro project for your workbench

The COPO Camaro kit is a different casting and an unfinished project. It is not the vintage Blown Camaro or a reproduction of its factory edition. Read its component list and arrange your chosen finishing supplies and custom wheel upgrades separately.
Originality, packaging and comparison prices
For the other factory wheel reference, see our Blown Camaro Turbo Wheels guide. Do not combine both versions into one generic original-rubber-tire description.
Request complete original-package photographs when exact-edition collecting matters. Compare dated completed sales with matching body, wheels, completeness and packaging, including delivery. Separate restored cars and aftermarket wheel swaps from untouched factory examples.
Blown Camaro questions
Does a modern rubber-tire swap establish the original Real Riders release?
No. It should be disclosed as aftermarket work and evaluated as a custom.
Is the COPO kit a vintage Blown Camaro donor?
No. It is a separately identified casting supplied for a different custom-building project.
