1993 Hot Wheels Rapid Transit White: Bus Boys Tattoo Guide

The 1993 Hot Wheels Rapid Transit White Tattoo is the white Bus Boys release from Tattoo Machines. It is a bus with graffiti-style expressions, not the generic low-slung car described by a copied casting template.

Identify the white Bus Boys
The Rapid Transit catalog records item 3502 in white with numerous graffiti expressions, a chrome-colored interior, unpainted China base and blackwall wheels. A yellow Bus Boys version is separately listed.
White paint is not enough to identify this bus
The earlier Rapid Transit and Team Bus records include white vehicles with other graphics. Start with the artwork and base rather than assuming every white bus came from Tattoo Machines. A separate model carrying a similar transit name also needs its own shape and underside check.
For the other Bus Boys color, use the yellow Rapid Transit Tattoo guide. The visible collecting subject is 1993.
Inspect the large white panels
Ask for square-on photographs of both sides so the small expressions can be read. Look for rubbed lettering, chips, stains and retouched areas. White surfaces can look cream-colored in warm light; request a neutral-light view before treating a color difference as a factory variation.
Check the roof and window band in separate photographs. Look for scratches, cracks, unexplained gaps and adhesive. Ask whether the interior or glazing has been replaced rather than assuming every bright-looking component is original.
Check the long body's running gear
Request an underside view and a photograph on a level surface. Inspect all wheel faces and ask whether the bus rolls without rubbing. A bent axle can be hidden behind the body in a side-only listing. Ask about opened fasteners and wheel replacements.
A customized or repaired bus may still make an enjoyable display piece when accurately described. Keep that category separate from an untouched factory version, especially when the price depends on originality.
Choose a loose bus or a complete package
For a loose display, decide whether clean artwork, complete parts or original wheels matter most. For a packaged Tattoo Machines purchase, ask for the whole front and back and a clear list of included pieces. Inspect the blister seam, hanger and corners, and distinguish opened packaging from a factory-sealed set.
Compare dated completed sales of the same body color, artwork, condition and format, including delivery. Do not infer that white must be rarer or more valuable than yellow from a single listing. Historical catalog prices are not current valuations.
Make a graphic-themed collector shelf
Compare the Open Wide Baja Breaker and Road Pirate guides for different Tattoo Machines designs. Their specifications should not be copied onto the bus.
Browse loose Hot Wheels for current individual offers. For a hands-on alternative, explore DIY kits and read the selected donor's inclusions. No Bus Boys kit is promised by that category link.
Is White Tattoo a separate casting name?
This guide concerns the white Bus Boys release of Rapid Transit in Tattoo Machines.
Does every white Rapid Transit have the same graphics?
No. Compare the graffiti expressions, underside and package evidence.
Is the white version automatically more valuable than yellow?
No fixed premium is established here. Compare equivalent completed sales and condition.
Read both graffiti panels before judging completeness
Large white surfaces can make small missing words easy to overlook. Request square-on photographs of each side and save the roof condition separately. A loose bus and an opened or sealed Tattoo Machines package have different completeness records, so ask exactly what accompanies the vehicle before comparing offers.
| Question | Useful view | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Left panel | Square-on view | Expressions readable |
