1995 Hot Wheels ’56 Flashsider: Steel Stamp #289

Dark-red 56 Flashsider pickup with Ultra Hots wheels on Steel Stamp Series number 3 card

The Steel Stamp ’56 Flashsider is the dark-red pickup with bright side decoration and chrome-colored windows. Start with those details and the wheel faces: several wheel versions share this same 1995 finish.

The carded Ultra Hots example is photographed by RGamble / South Texas Diecast.

Steel Stamp number 3 of four

This release is collector #289, item 13276. The reference describes metallic dark-red paint with gold, pink and aqua side graphics, a gold Hot Wheels logo at the right rear fender and a chrome Malaysia base. The package pictured here identifies it as number 3 of four in the Steel Stamp series.

Which wheels are on the truck?

Ultra Hots, five-spoke and seven-spoke versions are documented. The photograph shows Ultra Hots. Ask for a clear side view before cataloging a loose example; the finish alone cannot settle its wheel version.

Do not treat the Steel Stamp name as proof that this truck has a special stamped-metal base or limited production. Read the actual underside and compare the documented release.

Where to look for wear

Check the long side graphics, front corners and edges of the pickup bed. The shiny window insert can show scuffs that are difficult to see through blister reflections. Ask for the opposite side and an overhead view as well as the display side.

Record repainting, wheel replacements and repairs separately. The loose-car checklist helps keep those observations together when the original package is missing.

Make the Hot Wheels ’56 Flashsider record reproducible

For this article, check the Steel Stamp Flashsider wheel version deliberately with photographs of every wheel face. Use a fixed photo order—front or package, both sides, wheels and underside—so two examples can be compared without relying on seller shorthand.

Do not turn a mismatch into a rare-error claim without corroboration. Record uncertainty directly rather than converting a partial match into a factory, rarity or value claim.
