Vallejo 71.167: Eight Colors, Two Auxiliaries and an Airbrush

Vallejo 71.167 contains eight Model Air paint colors, two auxiliary products, a Harder & Steenbeck Ultra airbrush and a color chart. The ten bottles are not ten paint colors. Understanding that difference helps you plan a project around what the set actually provides.
Separate the colors from the auxiliaries
The manufacturer's listed paint references are 71.001, 71.002, 71.003, 71.004, 71.006, 71.032, 71.057 and 71.076. The two auxiliaries are 70.520 Matt Varnish and 71.261 Airbrush Thinner. They support different stages of a painting process and should not be treated as additional colors.
Choose the colors needed for your first project, then decide where thinning or a final finish belongs according to the product instructions. A varnish is a separate finishing product; it is not another base color to count toward the model's paint scheme.
Compare it with the camouflage set
The Vallejo 71.168 set has ten camouflage colors with an Ultra airbrush. It is a different selection for a different painting plan. The 71.167 basic set may suit a general palette, while the actual 71.168 references should be compared with a planned camouflage scheme.
For a wider general palette, the 71.172 basic-color case lists 29 colors with an airbrush and accessories. Compare the useful colors and the equipment you already own before choosing a larger package.
Plan a first color test
Choose one color, read the paint and airbrush instructions, and prepare a small sample like the model's surface. Use the included thinner only as directed for the paint and task. Avoid a fixed dilution rule for every color and spray setup.
Check the air supply and hose connections as well. An airbrush in the box does not establish that a compressor or every workspace item is included. Our airbrush paint guide explains how to prepare the first mixture and assess the spray before painting the model.
