Muncle Mikes DIY Customizer Club: What’s Included

Muncle Mikes DIY Customizer Club project casting for a 1:64 custom build

The Muncle Mikes DIY Customizer Club — Monthly Diecast Build Kit is for a collector who wants a new small-scale project to work on, not a finished custom car. Each monthly cycle includes one loose 1:64 project casting, a project idea with digital guidance, and a QR link to the current instructions. The participant supplies the parts and tools used to modify it.

What arrives—and what you still need

The confirmed contents are deliberately narrow: one loose 1:64 DIY casting, one monthly project idea, digital build guidance, and access to current instructions through a QR link. The casting is the starting point. It is not a complete wheel-swap set or a ready-to-display custom.

Wheels, tires, axles, installation hardware, a drill, rotary tool, adhesive, paint, and other workshop tools are not included. If a project requires a wheel change, plan to source those pieces separately. Read the instructions for the selected project and check the exact parts before beginning; a picture of a finished example does not mean its accessories are in the box.

How the monthly schedule works

Subscribe by the 10th to enter the current month’s shipment cycle. An order placed after that cutoff starts with the following month. Club boxes are scheduled to ship between the 14th and 18th, with shipping charged separately at checkout. Treat these as the published terms for the club and confirm the current checkout details before ordering, especially if timing matters for a gift.

The subscription renews automatically each month. To stop future renewals, cancel through the subscription account before the next renewal date. A renewal that has already processed cannot be cancelled or refunded, except when the item is incorrect or damaged. Save the confirmation and note the next renewal date so the account holder has time to act.

What the no-repeat promise does—and does not—mean

Muncle Mikes says it will not intentionally send the same casting and variation to the same active subscription during six consecutive monthly shipments. That is a limited no-repeat policy, not a promise that every casting will be unique forever, that every subscriber receives the same monthly item, or that a particular model will arrive. The exact casting varies. If you are collecting a specific casting rather than seeking a recurring project, choose a one-time kit that names the donor car.

Plan a wheel swap around the casting you receive

Scale alone does not determine wheel fit. Before buying parts, inspect the casting’s underside and compare the axle position, wheel opening, tire diameter, width, and clearance against the body and chassis. Measure the actual donor rather than assuming all 1:64 cars share a standard axle. Test-fit the wheel and axle components with the body and chassis before paint or permanent assembly. If the tire rubs, sits too far out, or disappears inside the fender, stop and reassess the combination instead of forcing it.

Keep the original wheels and axles until the replacement is confirmed. They provide a reference for ride height and spacing, and they can be stored with the casting if you want to preserve the original configuration. Use the monthly instructions as project guidance, then confirm that each separately purchased part matches the job you are doing.

Work safely and protect the donor

Cutting, drilling, rotary tools, paint, and adhesives need suitable tools, eye protection, ventilation, and careful handling. Follow each material’s safety directions. Adult supervision is required when cutting, drilling, or using adhesives. Secure the small casting before drilling; do not hold it in a way that puts fingers in the tool path. Keep paint and adhesive away from the axle openings and other surfaces that must remain clean.

A simple order of work helps avoid redoing finished areas: inspect and photograph the untouched casting, read the instructions, check the planned wheels and axles, test the fit, make the structural changes, clean the work, paint or detail, and complete final assembly only after the finish is ready. That sequence is a general planning approach, not a substitute for the project’s own instructions.

Is the club a better fit than a one-time kit?

Choose the club if the fun is receiving a surprise donor casting and making time for a new project each month. It suits someone who already has—or wants to build—a small workbench supply of tools and parts. Choose a one-time DIY kit if you want to select a particular donor car in advance, avoid an automatic renewal, or buy only when you are ready for a project. Neither option removes the need to verify fit before installing replacement wheels.

Gifts, account details, and the subscriber benefit

For a gift, explain that the plan renews monthly, the casting is a project base, and workshop supplies are separate. Give the recipient access to the order confirmation and subscription account, or make sure the purchaser can manage renewals. The club is a poor match for someone expecting a finished car or a box with every tool included.

Eligible active product subscribers may use MMCLUB10 for 10% off eligible one-time purchases in the Hot Wheels and Matchbox wheels-and-tires collection. Checkout determines whether an item qualifies. The code does not discount subscription line items or every product, so verify the discount in the cart before payment.

Quick checks before you start

  • Confirm the monthly cutoff, shipping window, separate shipping charge, and next renewal at checkout.
  • Keep the included casting and QR instructions together; the casting can vary by cycle.
  • Set aside wheels, tires, axles, hardware, paint, adhesive, and tools yourself.
  • Measure the actual casting and test-fit parts before drilling, painting, or final assembly.
  • Keep the original wheels and axles until the custom setup is working.
  • Cancel through the subscription account before the next renewal if you do not want another cycle.
