Where to Use a Monthly Diecast Car Keychain: Keys, Bags & More

A little miniature car can travel with you in several ways. Each successful payment in the Muncle Mikes Keychain of the Month Club covers one finished diecast vehicle keychain, selected as a surprise. What you do with the car after it arrives is up to you—and the best spot may not be your everyday keys.

Everyday keys

Attaching the car to a regular key ring is the simplest option. The vehicle becomes easy to recognize in a bag or a pocket, especially if it has a distinctive color. Just remember that keys are hard metal objects. Repeated contact can scratch decorative paint and printed graphics, so use a separate ring if you would like to reduce rubbing.

Backpack zipper

A backpack or small bag gives the miniature more visibility while limiting contact with loose keys. Check that the attachment fits through the zipper pull and that it does not catch on seams or straps. Pull by the metal attachment, not the diecast body, to avoid putting unnecessary stress on small vehicle details.

Car-show bag or hobby case

If you take model cars to shows, a diecast keychain on your carry bag makes a fitting hobby accent. Select a location where it won't swing against sharp buckles or hit the ground when you set the bag down. Avoid treating the tiny car as a heavy-duty load-bearing clip; it's a decorative accessory.

A rotating key holder at home

A row of hooks near your entrance can become a small collection. Carry the newest vehicle and hang earlier pieces on separate hooks. That way you can see colors, body shapes and casting variety without dropping spare designs into a crowded drawer.

Choose a finished style for your purpose

MM individually lists models ranging from a VW Kool Kombi to a Lamborghini Huracán. Those individual listings are for customers who want the pictured casting. In the club, exact vehicles and finishes vary, and example photos don't guarantee the next selection.

Keep safety and care in mind

Modified diecast vehicles contain small parts and aren't suitable for young children. Check attachment hardware periodically and clean painted surfaces gently. Explore single keychains or join the monthly surprise club according to whether you want a specific car or variety.
