Custom Matchbox Dune Buggies: Sand Blaster or Beach Patrol?

The MM Sand Blaster and Beach Patrol Dune Buggy customs use different retained body graphics and installed wheel colors. Sand Blaster is paired with lime green off-road wheels; Beach Patrol uses red off-road wheels. Both are completed custom Matchbox offers with rubber tires. Choose the graphic theme and fitted setup together.

Lime green and red describe the wheels in these listings. They should not be silently assigned to the whole body. Review the actual galleries for the complete body-and-graphics presentation. Neither offer is a loose accessory pack or an unassembled DIY project.

Choose a graphic theme
Sand Blaster can anchor a dune-themed shelf, while Beach Patrol can support a beachfront scene. Those are display ideas based on the named graphics, not evidence of real operational equipment or an authentic agency vehicle. Keep any extra scenery separate from the vehicle and from the purchase contents.
If the graphics are the main appeal, inspect their visible wear closely. A small mark across a printed name can matter more to that display goal than a hidden underside scuff. Review more than a thumbnail and keep condition notes by location.

Use wheel color as a second decision
The two wheel colors create different focal points around the buggy's lower body. Compare the wheels from the same approximate gallery angle. Look at spoke visibility and the contrast between wheel, tire and background rather than choosing by a color word alone.
Do not assume that the same tire or axle dimensions would transfer to your own buggy project. A completed setup shows an appearance, not a universal parts specification. A proposed swap still needs outside tire diameter, width, axle and clearance checks on the actual donor.
A beach display without loose grit
For a shelf scene, use a removable textured base or backdrop that suggests sand while keeping the vehicle on a clean, stable surface. Avoid packing loose grit into wheels or body openings simply to create a realistic pose. Make sure you can lift the model out without scraping it against scenery.
Measure the miniature before selecting props or marking a narrow trail. The offers list 1:64, but that label alone does not guarantee that a figure, carrier or tight compartment fits the actual model with its fitted wheels.
Keep the custom and contents clear
Matchbox is the original toy brand and Muncle Mikes is the customizer. The original graphics are retained while the wheel setup is modified. Do not describe the installed aftermarket wheels as a factory variation without factory-release evidence.
Read each current product page for the exact offered car, packaging status and exclusions. A display surface or backdrop in photography is not automatically included. Choose one buggy for a focused theme, or both if the graphics-and-wheel comparison is what you want to collect. The off-road custom comparison offers three different named bodies if you want to broaden the shelf after choosing the buggy.
