AUTOart Lexus LFA: 78850 vs. 78851 Carbon Top vs. Pearl Yellow

Representative current product image for AUTOart Lexus LFA: 78850 vs. 78851 Carbon Top vs. Pearl Yellow

Choose 78850 for the Whitest White LFA with red-and-black interior, 78851 for the Whitest White carbon-top treatment, or 78854 for Pearl Yellow with red-and-black interior. All three Muncle Mikes examples are 1:18 and list opening hood, doors and trunk, plus a functioning rear spoiler.

The two white cars are not interchangeable listings. The item number is the simplest way to avoid ordering the wrong roof treatment.

78850: Whitest White with red-and-black interior

The AUTOart LFA 78850 is the white option to start with when you do not want the specifically named carbon-top version. Its product title confirms a red-and-black interior.

That interior combination is relevant when the cabin is part of your display plan. A closed-door shelf view emphasizes the exterior, while opening the doors gives the contrasting interior a more prominent role. Choose the appearance you intend to enjoy rather than treating the headline paint name as the whole specification.

78851: why the carbon-top LFA is a distinct choice

The Whitest White LFA with carbon top, 78851, adds a contrasting roof treatment. AUTOart's description of this release also identifies a carbon-patterned rear wing, inspired by the prototype presentation shown at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

This is a finish and presentation distinction, not evidence that the miniature has a real carbon-fiber roof. The manufacturer describes the release within its composite-diecast range. For the construction terminology, see our AUTOart composite and diecast guide.

Choose 78851 when the dark roof and wing treatment are central to the car you want. The Muncle Mikes title for this item does not specify its interior color, so do not transfer an interior description from 78850 solely because both bodies are white.

78854: Pearl Yellow with a different shelf presence

The Pearl Yellow LFA, 78854, is the relevant alternative for a yellow-car collection or a buyer who prefers a brighter exterior. Like 78850, its title identifies a red-and-black interior.

It is not simply the carbon-top listing with a yellow color selected. Compare the actual item and its gallery rather than assuming every roof, wheel or interior treatment is shared across the color range.

The opening features you do not have to trade away

All three listings include rubber tires, positionable steering, a carpeted interior, a functioning rear spoiler and opening hood, doors and trunk. Their stated approximate dimensions are 9.75 × 4.5 × 2.75 inches.

Those common features let you choose among these finishes without assuming one is a sealed-body budget alternative. They do not establish identical production tolerances or a measured quality ranking between individual units.

Allow space around the car for the intended opening-panel display and above it for the spoiler. Follow the model's operating instructions; “functioning spoiler” does not promise an electronic or remotely controlled mechanism.

How to choose an LFA gift without duplicating a collection

Ask for the recipient's existing AUTOart item number or a photograph of the box label. “A white LFA” is not precise enough to distinguish 78850 from 78851, and an older LFA release should not be identified by color alone.

For a first purchase, choose the exact roof, body and interior combination that appeals to the owner. For a second, decide whether a contrasting finish adds more to the display than another white variation. Neither choice needs a claim about rarity or future resale value.
