Day Cab or Sleeper? Choosing a First Gear Ford LTL 9000

First Gear Ford LTL 9000 trio: white day cab, red-and-white day cab, and orange-and-white flat-top sleeper

Choose a day cab for the cab-only tractor profile, or a sleeper when the compartment behind the driving cab is part of the truck you want to collect. For First Gear's Ford LTL 9000, the next decision is just as important: do you want three tractors for a fleet display, or one tractor already paired with a trailer?

The trio gives you both cab styles without trailers

The Ford LTL 9000 trio, 60-2175, contains a white day cab, a red-and-white day cab and an orange-and-white tractor with a 60-inch flat-top sleeper. All three are 1:64.

Choose it for a Ford-focused shelf, a tractor yard or a deliberate comparison of the cab profiles. Three separate tractors provide variety without requiring room for three full-length trailers.

The day cabs are listed at approximately 5 inches long; the sleeper is approximately 5.25 inches. Each is approximately 1.75 inches wide and 2.25 inches high. Those are per-model measurements, not the dimensions of the trio's package or a combined row.

What the trio's photograph includes

The product image shows the three-model package above separate views of the same three tractors. It does not mean six vehicles. The documented set contains no trailers.

Opening hoods and poseable front wheels are listed. For a buyer who enjoys a small truck-yard arrangement, those features can change the pose without adding another large model. A suitable base and scenery remain separate choices.

For an equipment-hauling scene, choose the Cappello day cab

The Cappello Ford and Landoll combination, 69-2174, supplies one day-cab tractor and a Landoll 440B-50CA traveling-axle trailer. The black truck has a blue hood, and a certificate is listed with the Legacy release.

Its approximate overall length is 13 inches, so the complete hauling display takes much more room than a tractor from the trio. Choose it for the Cappello identity and equipment-trailer outline. It does not establish that a separately selected machine fits the deck.

For livestock hauling, choose the sleeper combination

The black-and-green Ford, 60-2294, combines a 60-inch flat-top sleeper with a 45-foot Wilson vintage livestock trailer. Its approximate complete length is 12.25 inches.

This is the clearer purchase for a collector who wants that agricultural-hauling theme. It is not the orange-and-white tractor from the trio bundled with an extra trailer; the finish and offer are different.

How to choose without overbuying

Buy the trio when multiple tractors are the point of the collection. Choose the Cappello combination for equipment transport or the black-and-green combination for livestock hauling. A sleeper is not automatically the better gift; match the recipient's truck interest and available display space.

For a tractor already owned, confirm any separate trailer pairing before ordering. Our DCP trailer-fit guide explains why scale, coupling and clearance are separate checks.
