A supplied stand does not prove that a Fw 190 model can be converted between gear-down and gear-up configurations. The current product pages confirm stands, but do not establish interchangeable undercarriage sets or a working retraction mechanism. Confirm the exact release before buying it for a particular pose.

The choice is practical: do you want an aircraft parked on a base, elevated with its wheels visible, or displayed with a clean gear-up underside? Those are different requirements.

What the JC Wings listings establish

The Fw 190A-4 JCW-72-FW190-002 and A-8 JCW-72-FW190-003 are 1:72 metal-and-plastic models with included stands. The A-8's front photograph shows deployed main gear.

That is useful evidence of the pictured arrangement. The current descriptions do not explicitly identify additional gear-up parts, closed wheel-well pieces or instructions for changing the undercarriage. Those features remain unconfirmed rather than assumed present.

Alternative parts and retraction are not the same

A model could offer separate gear assemblies without having a mechanism that folds the wheels into the wings. Conversely, a fixed gear-down model can be displayed on a stand without changing the gear at all.

Before purchase, ask whether the exact item is fixed, designed to accept alternative parts, or supplied with an operating mechanism. Also confirm which pieces are actually included. These questions are more precise than asking whether the model is functional.
