How Many Cars Fit a GCD Actros? Understanding the Eight-Car Capacity

GCD white Actros car transporter KS-069-400 in 1:64; display cars shown are excluded from the purchase

The inspected GCD Actros listings state capacity for up to eight 1:64 cars, not eight vehicles of any shape or size. The useful buying question is whether your intended cars fit the usable decks and the path onto them.

The white KS-069-400 and ADVAN KS-069-618 both list this capacity, working ramps and two rows for cars. Neither includes the model cars.

Do not divide overall truck length by car length

The complete Actros is approximately 13 inches long, including the cab and trailer arrangement. That is not 13 inches of straight, unobstructed loading surface.

For any usable section, the combined lengths of the chosen cars plus your required gaps must fit within that section. The number of positions and their clearances matter more than a single total-length calculation.

The product descriptions do not give individual deck measurements. Until those are confirmed, the headline capacity is a category-level guide rather than proof for a specific load.

Width requires two checks

First, compare the tires with the support surfaces. Second, compare the widest part of the body, including mirrors or body extensions, with any side obstruction.

A vehicle can have tires that sit on the deck yet still catch a mirror while being positioned. The carrier's approximate 1.5-inch overall width is not a guaranteed 1.5-inch clear opening.

Height changes the practical arrangement

Measure the tallest point on each vehicle, including a roof rack or any fitted accessory. Check both the final parking position and the route used to reach it.

The GCD Sequoia with roof rack is a relevant caution: its listing gives an approximate 3.125-inch length, but not the rack height. That length alone cannot verify its suitability for an Actros position.

Ramps introduce another fit question

A low bumper or a long wheelbase may be sensitive to the change from ramp to deck. Compare the model's underside and overhangs with the actual loading angle before attempting placement.

Working ramps are a documented feature; their precise angles and load limits are not stated in the inspected listings. Follow the supplied instructions and stop rather than forcing a car across a contact point.

Build a load around verified positions

Start with one car whose dimensions and access clearance you have checked. Add the next only when there is room to position and remove it without touching neighboring models. A less crowded display may be the better choice when your vehicles are long or unusually tall.

Buying a four-vehicle set does not establish that all four fit together. Likewise, eight matching-scale cars do not automatically form a tested bundle. The cars and transporter remain separate purchases unless the listing says otherwise.
