Herpa QantasLink A220: Flying Art VH-X4A or Standard VH-X4B?

Herpa QantasLink A220-300 VH-X4A in Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa Flying Art markings, shown with its stand and package

Choose VH-X4A for the Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa Flying Art presentation, or VH-X4B for the standard white-and-red QantasLink scheme. Both linked Herpa releases represent an A220-300 in 1:200 and include a stand. The main purchase decision is the particular aircraft and livery you want to own.

Compare Herpa airline liveries

VH-X4A: choose the Flying Art subject

The Flying Art A220-300, HE573351, identifies registration VH-X4A and the named Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa design. The gallery shows a white forward fuselage with green artwork across the rear and tail.

This is the relevant option for a collector who wants the artwork rather than a standard fleet scheme. View the side and overhead images before choosing a shelf position: an artistic livery can reward an angle that reveals more than the aircraft's nose.

Do not substitute another Qantas Flying Art aircraft on the assumption that the artwork is identical. Aircraft type, registration and design name belong together when identifying this release.

VH-X4B: choose the standard QantasLink appearance

The standard-livery A220-300, HE573184, identifies VH-X4B. Its white body and red tail provide the more familiar fleet-style presentation.

Choose it when you want a QantasLink aircraft without the special artwork, or when it better matches an existing standard-livery collection. It is a different represented airframe, not a selectable alternate paint option on the VH-X4A product page.

Use the item number to distinguish product lines

The two linked offers are metal-bodied models with plastic components. Do not label them SnapFit simply because Herpa also makes plastic aircraft using that name. Brand, airline and scale alone do not identify the construction line.

When comparing another offer, keep HE573351 or HE573184 in the notes. A similar aircraft picture on a different code can represent different construction, packaging or contents. The price comparison is only meaningful after those details agree.

Same aircraft version, different collecting purpose

For one purchase, choose the livery that matters to the recipient. For a pair, these releases make a deliberate standard-versus-special comparison without mixing aircraft scales.

Both have approximately 7.25-inch listed lengths. Those are catalog estimates, not measurements taken by Muncle Mikes. Confirm the complete wingspan and stand height for a close-fitting enclosure; do not infer case fit from length alone.

A stand is included, but that does not establish retractable landing gear or opening panels. The model is a finished collectible rather than a painting project.

A different A220 is not a duplicate

The SWISS A220-100 HB-JBH, HE558471-002, is a separate airline and the shorter A220-100 variant. It can broaden an A220 collection, but it is not an equivalent replacement for someone requesting either QantasLink A220-300.

For an exact gift, confirm the registration and code already owned. Choose the new release because it fills an intended gap—standard QantasLink, Flying Art or another A220 variant—rather than because two titles both contain A220.
