Motormax Car Trailers: 1:24 vs. 1:18 and How to Check Model Fit

Motormax trailer scale is a starting point, not a guarantee that a model fits the deck or couples to the hitch. The 1:24 tandem trailer 76001 and 1:18 trailer 76009 need separate fit checks for the actual vehicle you want to display.
76001 has a documented feature list
The black 1:24 tandem trailer record lists folding ramps, a functional jack and approximate overall dimensions of 7.5 by 3.5 by 1.25 inches. Overall dimensions are not the usable deck measurements: rails, wheel areas and ramp hinges can reduce loading space.
Measure the proposed model's tire track, wheelbase and body projections against the deck. Consider ground clearance and ramp transition as well as simple length. The named 454 SS pickup is an illustrative vehicle choice, not evidence of a tested trailer fit.

76009 needs its own measurements
The current 1:18 trailer record identifies the scale and item but does not confirm the earlier dimensions or equivalent ramp and jack functions. Do not multiply the 76001 figures and publish them as a specification for 76009.
A truck and trailer can share scale without sharing a compatible hitch. Check coupling geometry, attachment height and load placement independently. The trailer offer should not be interpreted as including any separately linked car or tow vehicle. For a static scene, an uncoupled arrangement may be preferable when functional fit has not been established.
| Model or set | Stated scale | Item reference |
|---|---|---|
| Diecast Tandem Car Trailer Black for 1:24 Scale Models by Motormax | 1:24 | 76001 |
| Trailer For 1:18 Scale – Motormax 1:18 | 1:18 | 76009 |
| 1992 Chevrolet SS 454 Pickup Red – Motormax 1:24 | 1:24 | 73203R |

Confirm usable deck and coupling dimensions before pairing models. Choose 76001 for its documented features or 76009 for the larger-scale requirement after obtaining its exact measurements.
