What to look for
This is the Funny Car casting, with a body that lifts away from its chassis. It belongs beside other drag cars in a display, and deserves its own guide apart from the street Camaros. The four Drag Strip Demons releases shown here keep their race names on the packaging; the purple car comes in a separate 26th Collectors Convention presentation.

Choosing one for your collection
On a loose example, check that the body sits squarely when lowered. Look at the hinge, front axle and exposed chassis before worrying about a small rub on a tire.
For display, compare the car both open and closed. A raised shell can hide wear along the lower body edge, while a closed-body photo can conceal a bent part underneath.
Collector questions
Does this Camaro have an opening hood?
The whole outer body lifts, rather than a separate hood panel. The gallery shows that feature on the photographed releases.
