1987 Buick Regal GNX Collector Guide
Black is the obvious place to start with the GNX, but it is also where identification gets tricky. The Motor City Muscle car, later movie releases and Run The Jewels edition all use the same square coupe shape. Their wheels, side markings and packaging tell you which one you are looking at.

What to look for
The gallery covers the white Power Trip car, gray Boulevard release, Black Widow mainlines and later special editions as well as the black movie cars. Keep this tooling separate from other Hot Wheels Buick Grand National castings. A similar name is not enough to match the body, wheels or release.

Choosing one for your collection
Look along the roof edges, raised hood center and squared bumper corners for chips. Black paint hides small marks in shadow, so a second photograph under soft light is worth asking for.
Check both wheel faces and the rear-quarter printing before buying a loose GNX. Several black editions are close enough that a distant front view will not settle the identification.
Collector questions
Are all black GNX releases the same car?
No. Wheel construction and design change between the premium movie editions and the 2023 plastic-base release. The Kroger car adds Black Widow graphics, while HTT70 has Run The Jewels and Volcom markings.
