AMC Rebel Machine Collector Guide
The Rebel Machine looks right at home in red, white and blue, but those colors appear in several different combinations. The Boulevard car has a blue hood panel and restrained side striping. Later premium set cars add large gold Rebel Machine lettering. The white mainline uses red wheels, while the ZAMAC car pairs bare-metal bodywork with orange wheels.

What to look for
The green Cool Classics release is a useful reminder to check construction as well as finish: it has a metal base and retro-slot wheels, rather than Real Riders. The 2021 mainlines have plastic bases. The premium Team Transport and two-pack cars look very similar loose, so their original packaging remains important.

Choosing one for your collection
Inspect the hood scoop and the sharp edges of the front fenders. Long stripes are easiest to assess in a straight side view.
The white premium set photographs show the car by itself. Confirm the transporter or companion car separately if you collect complete packs.

Are all white Rebel Machines the same release?
