Exact motor roles
- Single-stage flight: D12-5 or E12-6
- Booster stage: D12-0 or E12-0
- Upper stage in a staged flight: D12-5, D12-7, E12-6 or E12-8
Do not interchange booster and upper-stage motor roles. Follow the exact pairing in the current instructions.
Launch readiness
- Launch rod: 3/16 inch
- Recovery: 18-inch parachute on the upper stage; tumble recovery for the booster
- Manufacturer-stated maximum: up to 2,100 feet under appropriate staged-flight conditions
A Porta-Pad II or exact-compatible pad, E Launch Controller or exact-compatible controller, 3/16-inch rod, exact motors, starters, recovery wadding and four AA batteries are separate.
